Symptoms related to opener motor and drive problems
- The unit hums but nothing movesMotor, capacitor, drive, trolley, gear, rail, lock, or door resistance may prevent movement even though the opener receives a command.
- The opener stops under loadInternal wear, force behavior, travel settings, drive problems, a broken spring, or binding door hardware can produce a mid-cycle stop.
- The trolley moves without the doorThe carriage may be disconnected, the door arm or attachment may be damaged, or the door may have a separate lifting-system failure.
